Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles in Text and Image

Le dimanche 9 Février 1964 à 20H, les Beatles apparaissaient pour la première fois au Ed Sullivan Show. L’émission sera suivie par 73 700 000 personnes, selon les indices Nielsen. Durant ces treize minutes et trente seconde qui vont changer la face de la musique populaire américaine, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison et Ringo Starr vont interpréter "All My Loving", "Till There Was You", "She Loves You", "I Saw Her Standing There" et "I Want To Hold Your Hand".
 
Afin de célébrer le cinquantième anniversaire de l'arrivée des Fab'4 en Amérique, le Kislak Center (Université de Pennsylvanie) accueille une exposition d'ouvrages sur le thème des Beatles qui retracera la représentation iconographique du groupe à travers un certain nombre de pièces de toutes sortes. L'évènement, intitulé Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles in Text and Image, se tiendra du 24/02 au 11/08/2014 et accueillera également  un symposium du 28/02 au 01/03/2014. Parmi les invités attendus figureront les auteurs  Larry Kane, et Jude Southerland Kessler.

On Sunday, February 9th, 1964 at 8 pm, the Beatles appeared for the first time on Ed Sullivan Show. The broadcast will be watched by 73 700 000 people, according to the Nielsen Ratings. During these thirteen minutes and thirty seconds that will change the face of American popular music, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are going to play "All My Loving", "Till There Was You", "She Loves You", "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fab'4 arrival in America, the Kislak Center at the University of Pennsylvania is hosting an exhibition of books themed Beatles which will retrace the iconographic representation of the band through a number of items of all kinds. The event, entitled Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles in Text and Image, will take place from 24.02 to 11.08.2014, with a symposium from 28.02 to 01.03.2014. Among the expected guests will be the authors Larry Kane, and Jude Southerland Kessler.
